No Produce Left Behind! Juicing for the Win
Tuesday is my version of a “fast-food run” — only my drive-thru is the farmers market. Before I fill my fridge with fresh, local goodies, I always clear out what’s left by tossing it all into the juicer.
Sometimes I get a little nervous about what I’m creating (let’s be honest, green juice roulette is real 😅), but it always turns out delicious — and loaded with mega nutrition. And when in doubt, an apple or pear always saves the day.
This week’s combo was such a pleasant surprise that I had to share it with you — proof that practicing a No Produce Left Behind mindset not only cuts food waste, but also fuels your body with goodness you might’ve otherwise tossed.
Today’s “Clean-Out-the-Fridge” Juice Recipe
1 bunch kale
4 broccoli stems (yep, just the stems!)
1 green bell pepper
½ pineapple
3 apples
1 lemon
1-inch fresh ginger
✨ Earthly Bodies Tip: Save your broccoli stems after roasting the crowns — they’re rich in fiber and nutrients, and your body loves them too.
Why I Love This practice
This little Tuesday habit does more than make space in my fridge — it’s a reset for my body and a reminder to eat (and drink) mindfully. Juicing what you already have:
Reduces food waste ♻️
Boosts daily nutrients 🌱
Encourages creativity in the kitchen ✨
